During the school year, conventions were a huge deal at my school, but I had no idea how much work went into making that “week that lasts a lifetime” as special as it was. Being in the 24/7 Squad was one of the most exciting trips to convention I’ve ever had! I loved being able to be a part of the special work behind the scenes. So much work and prayer goes into ISC, and being part of that was an amazing experience. I made friends and memories that will last into eternity! The truth is, this week will be one that God uses to mold you to His will and use you to impact the lives of thousands of teens for Christ! —Laura C.
Being part of His Servants’ 24/7 was a tremendous blessing! It was a great opportunity to serve the Lord through serving others in the Convention. I learned to appreciate ISC more when I joined the Squad because I saw all the hard work that was put into making ISC memorable for every student. The greatest blessing I received was when the Squad was asked to help lead students to the Lord. I had been praying for God to give me an opportunity to lead someone to Christ. The Lord is good, and he answered my prayer during one of the rallies. I led my first soul to Christ, and I am thankful that He used 24/7 to give me that opportunity. —Alexandria A.
ISC—Where else can one week last a lifetime?® This statement could never be more true. Serving on the 24/7 Squad was one of the best experiences I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of. I was able to serve the Lord on a level that before I had never been able to do. Working behind the scenes and seeing how much preparation goes into a big event such as this opened my eyes to how much effort the staff at A.C.E. puts forth. Getting to know the others on the Squad makes the week even better. Many early mornings and late nights are spent together in prayer and in the Bible, studying how we can be more effective servants for the Lord. The spirit of the people on the 24/7 Squad is one of whole-hearted devotion and a love for serving the Lord and each other. The Squad strives together to be HIS servant 24/7! —Lauren H.
Serving on the 24/7 these past two years has been absolutely incredible. The opportunities that the Lord has allowed me to be a part of through the Squad have been life-changing to say the least. During my first year on the Squad, I was able to lead a student to the Lord during the altar call of one of the evening rallies, and the following year I was able to see that same student again at ISC. That is truly one of my fondest memories of ISC. The other great memories come from my time spent with my Squad mates. The Squad is made up of incredibly awesome people from all over the world who have a heart of servitude, and I am so grateful to have the privilege of serving with such fine Christian men and women. I have learned so much from the Squad leaders and fellow Squad mates during these past two years and look forward to catching up with them at the next ISC—since God has opened a door to allow me to be able to work for A.C.E. —Victor H.
As a student, I loved ISC. But when I went back as a 24/7 Squad member, I enjoyed ISC ten times more. Belonging to this group, making friends, and working with them is a highlight of my year. We work hard. We have fun. We try to make ISC as good for others as it was for us. The devotions in the morning ignite a fire inside us that lasts far longer than ISC. The evening fun brings us together. The 24/7 Squad gives us a perfect opportunity to exercise the 60 Christ-like character traits we all learned about. It is wonderful to strive together for one goal, that of reaching the world for Christ, one child at a time. When you’re a student, the week lasts a lifetime. When you’re on the Squad, it reaches into eternity. —Erika T.
Being on the His Servants’ 24/7 Squad has been so much more than a “volunteer” experience for me! When I signed up two years ago, it was really just because I didn’t want my family and high school to go off for a full week and have a blast at ISC without me. So I bought a plane ticket and headed to be on the Squad, which soon became family. Our fearless, full-of-energy leaders, Mrs. Fisher, Mr. Savage, and Mr. Gilbey have been excellent in guiding us in really being followers of Christ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have been challenged in my faith just by being on the team, but I haven’t been alone. One of my favorite things about the Squad is that I’ve been able to create friendships that will last a lifetime, no matter how many miles separate us. I could call any of the Squad and know they would be willing to talk to me and have my back. The memories I’ve created on the Squad will last forever, including the services, the late night fun and games, the early morning devotions, and everything in between—I love being a Squaddie! —Abi U.
Serving on the 24/7 Squad is one of the most exciting and rewarding things I do every year! It is so fulfilling to come back to ISC and help in whatever way I can to make a lasting impression on the lives of students from around the world. It is so much fun as a student to participate in the competitions, to be inspired from the messages at the rallies, and to enjoy the company of old and new friends alike. But there is something about serving others that makes it all the more enjoyable. ISC made a lasting impression on my life, and I hope it did the same for you. So if you have a servant’s heart and want to make a difference in someone’s life, I would strongly encourage you to apply! —Donald C.
