Dear A.C.E. Family,
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41

D.L. Moody had a passion for souls, and God used him in a mighty way for His kingdom.  D.L. Moody credits the great moving of the Holy Spirit during his preaching to the prayers of his parishioners, who understood that they must intercede for their pastor.

Your pastor is in need of your intercessory prayers.  He is in a continual spiritual battle as he watches over his flock and seeks the souls of those that are lost.  We are often unaware of the spiritual warfare our pastors face, but through fervent prayer we can strengthen and support the one God has called to lead our church.  In my life, the Holy Spirit has given me a burden to pray for the pastors who have God’s calling to Christian education—for the hearts and souls of the next generation.

Together, let us purpose to be vigilant to watch and pray for our pastors as they serve the Lord and watch for our souls. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Ephesians 6:18

In His service, for the children’s sake, for God’s glory,

Esther Howard, D.Litt.
President

Appreciative: Expressing thanks to God and others for the ways they have served me. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. I Thessalonians 5:18
